My practice embraces material experimentation and the serendipity of creation.

I rarely begin with sketches, allowing the act of painting itself to guide me intuitively.

I also work with oil and pastel in a process where every act of erasure or disruption is integral to building the final image.

I resist over-defining forms, seeking instead an open, natural, and primal state.

I prefer painting on a large scale, which allows me to be immersed in my works.
